You cannot keep the Chinese; not even their own homeland can contain them. By nature, the Chinese are among the most migratory people on earth.
Born with an entrepreneurial spirit wired directly into their DNA and driven by a relentless desire for a better lifestyle, they are instinctively motivated to relocate across the globe in search of the perfect place to settle. There is a timeless saying that wherever there is good sun and fertile soil, you will inevitably find Chinese people.
If the ancient "Peking Man" did it thousands of years ago, modern generations will certainly do the same. These modern migration patterns are fueled by pure survival instincts—or perhaps, more humorously, they are a deep-seated reaction reincarnated from the trauma of endless ancient warfare. One cannot help but wonder what actual benefits those ancient kings truly brought to their people in return for such sacrifice. Yet, looking back at history, the Qing dynasty—whether its rulers acted out of selfishness or not—at least achieved one massive feat: it finally brought an end to those endless, fractured wars.
Regardless of history, there is a place for everyone on this earth. Philosophically speaking, the world should possess no borders or artificial citizenships. Modern human beings must look at the bigger picture of our shared planet, rather than confining themselves to the stereotypical viewpoints of fabricated "keyholes" created by others.
My skin may be yellow, but my blood is red—exactly like yours, no matter what color your skin happens to be. So, let us open our minds, drop the artificial barriers, and actively embrace the practice of loving-kindness, my friends.
